Souken Leasing Inc. (the "Company") has established the following Personal Information Protection Policy (this "Policy") and promotes the proper handling of personal information.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations, and ensures that all employees are thoroughly familiar with them.

Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

The Company does not acquire personal information through deception or other improper means. Except where an exception provided under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information applies, the Company does not acquire special care-required personal information without first obtaining the consent of the individual.

Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The personal information collected by the Company is handled within the scope of the purposes of use set out below. Information concerning race, creed, family origin, registered domicile, healthcare, or criminal history, and other special, non-public information obtained in the course of business, is not used for any purpose other than ensuring the appropriate conduct of business or other purposes deemed necessary.

  1. ・Soliciting and selling securities and financial products under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act; providing information on and sending materials about services; and receiving consultations and applications
  2. ・Assessing the appropriateness of providing products and services in light of the principle of suitability and related considerations

Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company appropriately manages the personal information it acquires and does not disclose or provide it to third parties except in any of the following cases:

  2. 2. Where a ground set forth in the items of Article 27, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information applies, such as cases based on laws and regulations

Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

The Company may outsource the handling of acquired personal information to contractors to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Company enters into a confidentiality agreement with the contractor and exercises necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure the secure management of the entrusted personal information.

Matters Concerning Shared Use

Pursuant to Article 27, Paragraph 5, Item 3 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Company shares personal data as follows:

  2. Third parties that jointly hold events, seminars, recruitment briefings, or similar functions with the Group

  1. Name, date of birth, address, gender, telephone number, email address, employer, and other related corporate information (location, shareholders, officers, etc.)
  2. Name, date of birth, address, gender, telephone number, email address, employer, and other information capable of identifying a specific individual that is entered and submitted when applying for seminars or completing questionnaires

3. Purposes of use

  1. Same as the purposes of use of personal information stated above
  2. Planning and operating events, seminars, recruitment briefings, and similar functions

4. Name of the party responsible for managing the personal data

Security Control Measures for Personal Information

The Company strives to keep personal data accurate and up to date and takes necessary and appropriate measures for its secure management—including establishing a security management framework, educating and raising the awareness of employees, controlling entry to and exit from premises, and implementing information security measures—to prevent leakage and similar incidents.

Continuous Improvement

In response to amendments to relevant laws and regulations and to changes in social conditions, the Company reviews this Policy and its personal information protection rules as appropriate and strives for continuous improvement.
